(past event)

(this was the) Invitation

On Tuesday 26th June, in the Finmeccanica Group Services premises of Rome, via Piemonte 60, will take place the Final International Workshop  of the European project ATOM, organized by SESM, project coordinator. The participation is free, but the registration is mandatory.

The total cost of the project is 5,2 milion of euros and the consortium includes

  • companies belonging to 3 big industrial groups, European leaders in civil and military security: FinMeccanica, THALES and HAI
  • 3 renowed public and private research centers: “Sapienza” Università di Roma , Fraunhofer and Technical University of Delft
  • 2 airports: Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and Transylvania Airport Targu Mures
  • 3 SMEs: AYCO, SLOT and LINK.

The main objective of the project is to increase the airport security both introducing new generation sensors and modifying the security system architecture by extending the airport area under control.
Some details in this newsletter.

During the event the demonstration of one of the innovative sensors for the detection of dangerous materials and tools will take place.

Do not hesitate to contact me for further information on the project and/or on the workshop.
